Spiritual life - it takes a great deal of time and work to obtain results
It takes a lot of work and a great deal of time to obtain results in the spiritual life. Look at how many millions of years stones require to become plants… how millions of years it takes for plants to become animals… And as for animals, how many millions of years does it take for them to become human beings? Of course, the time required decreases from one kingdom to the next. Stones need an enormous amount of time, plants need less, animals need even less, and still less time is required for people to become superhuman or angels. This is because the possibilities are greater as you move through each kingdom. Even so, it will still take hundreds of thousands of years before human beings manage to become like angels.
