Moon - exercises to practise while it is waxing or waning
Initiatic Science teaches that everything can be put to good use for our spiritual advancement; we just need to know what method to apply. Let me give you an example. Suppose you want to improve your health or your willpower, or to be wiser and more loving. At night, during the first few days of the waxing moon, look at the moon, raise your right hand, and say: ‘Just as the moon grows full in the heavens, so may my whole being be filled with vigour, love and light, so that I may become a true servant of God.’ Repeat the formula three times. If you do this frequently and regularly, you will see results, for it is a magical exercise, and magic is always effective and potent. ‘And is there something we can do during the waning moon?’ you will ask. Certainly. You can use this period to work at ridding yourself of certain bad habits. You simply reverse the formula and say: ‘Just as the moon is waning, so may such and such a vice or weakness in myself fade and disappear, for the glory of God.’ Here too, you repeat the formula three times with your right hand raised.
